523,808. Control of D.C. motors. IGRANIC ELECTRIC CO., Ltd: Jan. 14, 1939, No. 1351. Convention date, Jan. 14, 1938. [Class 38 (iii)] Rheostatic braking for a series motor A with separate forward field FF and reverse field. RF is obtained upon interruption of forward power connections by connecting the reverse field winding in circuit with the braking resistance R and vice versa. Upon movement of the pilot switch 4 on to contact 5 the'switch 1 closes the forward circuit of the motor and at contacts 1e causes the energization of selector switch 3 which is maintained over contacts 3d. When switch 4 is opened switch 1 drops out and by closure of contacts 1c and ld completes the braking circuit through the reverse field RF and over contacts 3b. When pilot switch 4 is moved on to contact 6, the switch 2 closes the reverse circuit for the motor, and at contacts 2d opens the maintaining circuit for selector switch 3 which drops out. When pilot switch 4 is again opened switch 2 drops out and by closure of contacts 2c, 2d completes the braking circuit through the forward field FF over contacts 3c.
|
