PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leveler for coke oven, enabling coal charge basic unit to be improved through efficiently leveling the coal charge in a carbonizing chamber by accurately force-feeding coal charge aiming at coke side. SOLUTION: The leveler for coke oven includes beam-like side plates 2 and 3 disposed left and right in a parallel condition and partition plates 4a to 4i connecting both the side plates transversely. This leveler is designed to be free to advance/retreat over the whole length inside the coke oven carbonizing chamber. In this leveler, its tip is furnished with both side plates 2b and 3b on the tip side and a scooping part 5 constructed so as to accommodate coal therein by a bottom plate 6 transversely joining the undersides of both the side plates 2b and 3b and a back plate 7 raised from behind the bottom plate 6.
