PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface acoustic wave filter which is capable of improving a shield effect. SOLUTION: Two pairs of input IDTs 12, 14 and output IDTs 16, 18 are disposed in parallel on a piezoelectric substrate 11. One shield electrode 23 is disposed between the pair of input IDTs 12, 14 and the pair of output IDTs 16, 18. Terminals 22, 24, 30, 32, 36 are disposed on both sides of the pair of input IDTs 12, 14 and the pair of output IDTs 16, 18.
