PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening device capable of eliminating an operation of opening and closing a screen door, in the opening device equipped with a panel or Shoji and the screen door. SOLUTION: The opening device comprises a panel 3 installed slidably along a pair of guide rails disposed opposite to each other, closing an opening of a building when the panel is totally closed and stored in a storage section when the panel is fully opened and the screen door 4 connected to the end section on a door front side of the panel 3, closing the opening when the panel 3 is stored in the storage section and stored in a screen door storage section when the panel 3 closes the opening. An engaging section 42 is provided to the end section of the door front side of the panel 3, and a screen door side engaging section 51 is provided to the front end section of the screen door 4. The engaging section 42 is engaged with the screen door side engaging section 51 when the panel 3 approaches the screen door 4, and the panel 3 is connected to the screen door 4.
