<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cursor control system efficiently carrying out cursor control for selecting a displayed object. <P>SOLUTION: When a user moves a remote controller toward an infrared ray imaging means, an event control means generates event information for controlling a cursor displayed on a detection means on the basis of control information generated by a control means and positional information of an infrared ray recognized by a locus recognition means, and transmits the event information to the display means.
