PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of installing a shared bracket device for an elevator, for realizing efficient welding work and easy positioning work. SOLUTION: A second fixing member 4 is positioned by matching a positioning reference portion 10a of a fixing guide device 10 to counter centering reference lines 7a, 7b suspended down from the top of a shaft. After the fixing guide device 10 is temporarily fixed to a pair of counter bracket members 2 using a temporarily fixing member 8b, the second fixing member 4 is matched to a second fixing member positioning guide portion 10b of the fixing guide device 10, placed on a main bracket member 3 and temporarily fixed thereto using a temporarily fixing member 8c. After the temporarily fixing member 8c and the fixing guide device 10 are removed, the first fixing member 1 and the second fixing member 4 are welded and fixed to the counter bracket members 2 and to the main bracket member 3, respectively, at the same time.
