PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the break of the shape of ice in separating ice in an ice making machine of a cup-type vending machine. SOLUTION: The ice making device for making ice by jetting water into a cooled ice tray, comprises a heater 3 for applying the heat to the ice tray after ice making is completed, a time counting means 2 for counting a specific time stored in a specific time storing means 4 from the start of the operation of the heater 3 to the stop, and from the stop to the start of the operation, an ice making part temperature detecting means 5 for detecting a temperature of the ice making part 6, and a calculation control part 12a connected with the ice making part temperature storing means 7 for storing the temperature of the ice making part 6 detected by the ice making part temperature detecting means 5. The heater 3 is operated until the specific time stored in the specific time storing means 4 has passed, then the heater 3 is stopped until the specific time stored in the specific time storing means 4 has passed again after the stop, the temperature of the ice making part 6 is stored in the ice making part temperature storing means 7, and whether or not the temperature difference from the temperature of the ice making part 6 at the stop of the heater 3 stored last time, becomes more than specific temperature difference is determined.
