<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to carry out an easy management of an electronic equipment by reading discrimination information specific to the equipment from a tag fitted to a connector. <P>SOLUTION: For an electronic control unit (ECU) 20 loaded on a vehicle, an RFID tag 30 is provided at a fit-in part 26 of a connector 25 protruded from a chassis 22 for connecting an electronic circuit board inside the chassis 22 to an external unit. The RFID tag 30 is composed of an antenna 34 and a transmitter-receiver IC 32, which latter 32, receiving a transmission request from outside, transmits an ID exclusive for the ECU from the antenna 34. With this, management of the ECU 20 is easily carried out through the RFID tag 30, for example, in case that the ECU 20 is illegally taken off from the vehicle, or a stolen ECU is fitted to a vehicle as a repair part, the above situation is easily detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
