PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the alignment of an optical encoder to a cord wheel mounted on a shift. SOLUTION: In the alignment of the optical encoder to the cord wheel, an alignment fixture which is used for aligning the encoder to the cord wheel shaft is fitted to the cord wheel shaft and a standard characteristic on the encoder, and includes a plurality of pins or a means for receiving the pin.
