<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer receiving sheet, which is suitable for a dye thermal transfer printer, develops neither photoprint void nor ununiform photoprinting due to ununiform thickness of a support and has a photoprinting density equivalent to that obtained when a synthetic paper or a formed thin sheet is employed without using either the valuable synthetic paper or the foamed thin sheet. <P>SOLUTION: In the thermal transfer receiving sheet, comprising a sheet-like support made of a base paper and a lowly dense layer made of a polymeric material having hollow particles therein and an image receiving layer formed on at least one side of the sheet-like support in the order named, the integrated value (PY value) of the power spectra in the wavelength range of 1-12.5 mm of the surface of the sheet-like support is set to be not more than 150 mV. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
