PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an industrial sterilizing composition which can use a hydrophobic isothiazoline-based compound and can reduce the use amount of a glycol-based solvent. SOLUTION: This industrial sterilizing composition is prepared from a hydrophobic isothiazoline-based compound (OIT), a hydrophilic isothiazoline-based production (MIT), a glycol-based solvent (DEG), and water. In the industrial sterilizing composition, OIT is contained in an amount of 2 to 30 wt.%, and MIT is contained in an amount of 2 to 35 wt.%, when the amount of OIT is <10 wt.%, or MIT is contained in an amount of 2 to 20 wt.%, when the amount of OIT is≥10 wt.%. The total content (y) of MIT and DEG to the content (x) of OIT is in the range between the following cubic function (A) and the following linear function (B). Herein, the cubic function (A): y=-0.0004x<SP>3</SP>+0.03x<SP>2</SP>-1.3083x+72.5, and the linear function (B): y=-0.5x+61. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
