PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the harrowing effect and plow-in performance of a vertical tine. SOLUTION: The tilling device 1 is provided with a tilling shaft 21 having a rotatably supported shaft 22 and a tilling flange 31 formed on the outer circumference of the shaft 22 and holding tilling tines 50 tilted at a prescribed angle from a plane perpendicular to the axis S of the shaft 22. The tilling tine 50 has a straightly extending vertical tine 53 and a lateral tine 57 curved to one side and attached to the tip end of the vertical tine. The tilling flange 31 forms a side face to attach an attaching base continuously connected to the base part of the vertical tine 53. When the attaching base is attached along the side face, the vertical tine 53 is attached, similar to the tilling flange 31, to the shaft 22 while being tilted at a prescribed angle from a plane perpendicular to the axis S of the shaft 22. A plurality of the tilling flanges 31 are arranged in the longitudinal direction of the shaft 22 interposing prescribed spaces, and the phase of the tilling flange is staggered from that of the flange 31 adjacent in the longitudinal direction of the shaft 22.
