The cutting tool (1) has a cutting plate (3) on the front edge (14) of a first main cutting edge (15) and a u-shaped section (18). The side legs (19,20) of the section and base (21) work in an advance direction (V) behind the first main cutting edge towards the main cutting edge (22). The cutting plate is made from two separate pieces (4a,4b). The two main cutting edges are parallel to the first main cutting edge. Each piece has parallel side edges (11,13) which are oriented at an angle to the advance direction. |
