PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting tool for a housing material facilitating housing material cutting work by preventing the movement of engaging parts in cutting the housing material, and omitting work related to the movement prevention of the engaging parts to simplify cutting work. SOLUTION: The cutting tool 10 is provided with a fixed handle 12 comprising a placing part 11 on the tip side, a cutting blade 14 pivoted to the fixed handle 12, and a movable handle 15 for moving the cutting blade 14 in a scissor-like manner. The cutting tool 10 is provided with first and second engaging parts engaged with part of one side edge extending in the length direction of a molding 17 of various sizes, to prevent the movement of the molding 17 to the tip side of the placing part 11 and to allow cutting with the base end side of the cutting blade 14. The second engaging part is formed of a stepped part 18b formed between the other end edge of a turning body 18 turned upward with respect to the placing part 11, and the upper face of the placing part 11.
