The invention relates to a floating module which is designed to prevent light from hitting the surface of the water in a reservoir, marsh or similar, in order to prevent the formation of algae and to minimise water evaporation. For said purpose, the inventive module comprises an largely-flat opaque body with a regular prismatic-hexagonal shape, the upper face of which projects out in the form of a hexagonal pyramid. In this way, simply by placing the modules randomly on the surface of the water, they connect with one another automatically owing to the effect of the wind, such as to form a continuous barrier against the passage of light. |
