摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light extruded styrene-based resin foam having excellent heat insulation, strength, dimensional stability and flame retardance required in uses as buildings and industrial materials by using a non-halogen foaming agent excellent in suitability to the environment, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The extruded styrene-based resin foam is prepared by heat fusing the styrene-based resin, adding the foaming agent and extruding and foaming the same, contains a 3-5C saturated hydrocarbon, a specific ether and/or other non-halogen foaming agent as the foaming agent and has 25-45 kg/cm<SP>3</SP>foamed body density, 1.1-2.7 ratio of foamed body flat surface compression strength/foamed body cross-sectional surface compression strength and -2 to +2% rate of volume change when the foamed body is heated at 80°C for 24 hours.
