To adjust and/or install/dismantle a roller in a printing press, at the inking or wetting unit, the roller is set by at least two actuators (34) as pressure hoses working in different directions.. In the first step, the pressure is set between the adjustable roller (21) and one roller (22) in the printing/wetting station and then it is set in a second step between the adjustable roller and a second roller in the assembly. The position of the adjustable roller is fixed after at least one other roller has been lifted, by the operation of an additional fixing unit.
