PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorptive article which can be softly bent in a longitudinal direction and for which the decline of the texture of a side sheet is little and the leak proof property of the side edge part of an absorption layer by the side sheet is excellent in the absorptive article provided with the side sheet. SOLUTION: The absorptive article 1 comprises a practically vertically long absorptive main body C provided with a liquid-holding absorption layer and a liquid impermeable leak proof layer and a pair of left and right side sheets 5 provided respectively along both side edge parts on the skin abutting surface side of the absorptive main body C over the almost entire length. On the side sheet 5, an emboss pattern P roughly in a wavy line shape is formed by arranging a plurality of curved emboss lines 61-63 so as not to be continued in the plane view and to be continued practically in the longitudinal direction, and the emboss pattern P is provided over 50% or more of the entire length in the longitudinal direction of the side sheet 5.
