<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a failure detection system judging a failure part easily with high probability when a failure occurs in a transmitter. <P>SOLUTION: The failure detection system comprises: a first table preset with a plurality of failure modes of a transmitter in correspondence with the combination of a plurality of monitor signals indicating existence of abnormal operation at an RF modulating section 4, an RF amplifying section 5, an output antenna section 6 and a power supply section 3 and being delivered from respective sections; a second table preset with the relative values of failure rate at respective sections in correspondence with the plurality of failure modes; and a failure judging section 2 for detecting a failure mode of the transmitter from the combination of a plurality of inputted monitor signals using the first table, and for judging a part having a largest relative value of failure rate in the failure mode detected using the second table as the failure part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
