A disinfectant composition comprising a slightly acidic electrolyzed water and 0.001 to 1.0 wt %, relative to a total weight of the composition, of at least one selected from the group consisting of polyether-modified silicones represented by the following formula (1) and polyether-modified silicones represented by the following formula (2) wherein R<SUP>1</SUP>, which can be the same or different, is selected from the group consisting of alkyl groups, aryl groups, aralkyl groups and fluorinated alkyl groups each having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, R<SUP>2 </SUP>is a polyoxyalkylene group represented by the following formula (3), <?in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="lead"?>-C<SUB>x</SUB>H<SUB>2x</SUB>-O-(C<SUB>2</SUB>H<SUB>4</SUB>O)<SUB>y</SUB>(C<SUB>3</SUB>H<SUB>6</SUB>O)-R<SUP>3</SUP> (3) <?in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="tail"?> wherein R<SUP>3 </SUP>is a hydrogen atom, a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms or an organic group represented by the formula, R<SUP>4</SUP>-(CO)-, wherein R<SUP>4 </SUP>is a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, p is an integer of from 0 to 3, q is an integer of 1 or 2, r is an integer of from 0 to 6, x is an integer of from 2 to 5, y is an integer of from 5 to 15, and z is an integer of from 0 to 10. The composition has an excellent spreadability and a prolonged shelf life.
