PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact and an electric connector which are used to electrically connect a conductor pattern formed on a circuit board and a body to be connected that is positioned to face the circuit board, and in which the amount of displacement of a contact protruding part is large, while having a low height. SOLUTION: This contact 1 has a soldering part 2 to the conductor pattern formed on a circuit board PCB, a spring arm 3 extended from the soldering part 2 and having a contact protruding part 3g contacting with body 10 to be connected positioned to face the circuit board PCB, and a preload imparting part 5 extended from the soldering part 2 and arranged on the spring arm 3 and imparting a preload to the spring arm 3.
