PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a buckle adjuster which prevents a belt from loosening by showing strong engaging force even when big stretching force is acted on a buckle, in a buckle adjuster for engaging the rear side of the belt with the engaging metal fitting tool of the buckle without forming a hole at the belt. SOLUTION: The buckle adjuster 25 has a belt form consisting of a synthetic resin and provided on a rear side on the free end side of the belt 3. A plurality of recessed grooves 26 formed in the direction of the short width of the belt form are formed at prescribed intervals in the longitudinal direction. An engaging part 7b formed at the engaging metal fitting 7 of the buckle 1 is engaged with the optional recessed groove 26 of the adjuster 25 or disengaged from the groove 26 for fixing the belt 3 at a prescribed length.
