PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device that facilitates and at low-cost for specifying the apparatus type for a program storage means adaptive to a plurality of apparatus types, and to provide a cooker which uses the same. SOLUTION: The display device is characterized by the program storage means 1, which is adaptive to a plurality of apparatus types, the display means 2 which displays apparatus type information, and making it possible to specify one of the plurality of apparatus types, by providing the display means with a setting switching means 4 whose settings are switched in accordance with an apparatus type and electrically connecting the program storage means and display means together. Here, the specified apparatus type can be specified, only by electrically connecting the program storage means 1 and display means 2 together, so that dedicated components for apparatus type setting are not necessary for decreasing the number of components and cost can be saved.
