摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection method and a device advantageous from the viewpoint of cost for miniaturizing and facilitating adjustment. SOLUTION: In this detection method for a magnetic object moving in the axial direction, the magnetic object is detected by sensing and responding to magnetism. Two sensor elements M11, M12 in which ratios of change of output values detected for change of a position in the axial direction of the magnetic object differ for each other are arranged in such a way that their positions become the same position mutually with respect to a position in the axial direction. Threshold values Er1, Er2 are set for respective output values of two sensor elements. When respective output values of two sensor elements exceed respective threshold values, respective detection signals are obtained and outputted to the outside in a manner in which it is possible to distinguish that any of detection signals is obtained.
