<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly and easily perform an operation for replacing a contaminated or damaged sign pole body with a new one. <P>SOLUTION: This road sign pole comprises a pedestal 1 having a sign pole body insert hole 11 and a hook ring mounting groove 12, the metal or hard resin hook ring 2 assembled in the hook ring mounting groove 12 of the pedestal 1 in a locked state, and the sign pole body 1 inserted into the body insert hole 11 of the pedestal while leaving a circular clearance. With the hook ring 2 assembled in the hook ring mounting groove 12 of the pedestal 1, the sign pole body 3 is press-fitted into the inner diameter of the hook ring 2 and the tilted claw 22 of the hook ring 2 is bitten into the sign pole body 3.
