摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an α-sialon phosphor with which the α-sialon phosphor having improved luminous efficiency can be produced and to provide a light-emitting device provided with the α-sialon phosphor having the improved luminous efficiency.

SOLUTION: The α-sialon phosphor 7 absorbing at least a part of light emitted from a light-emitting diode element 4 and emitting fluorescence at a wavelength different from that of the light is produced. In the process, a raw material in a state of powder is housed in a sintering furnace and sintered with a gas in a nitrogen atmosphere under pressure.
