<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the mountability of a vehicle, to simplify a suspension system and to realize enhancement of fuel consumption and reduction of cost by realizing miniaturization and light weight of a vehicle drive device in the vehicle drive device provided with an electric motor 20a; a differential device 20d for distributing power outputted from the electric motor 20a and transmitting it to right and left driving wheel sides; and a clutch for continuing power-transmittable connection of the differential device 20d side and the electric motor 20a side. <P>SOLUTION: An electro-magnetic clutch 20 having self-lock function in which bonding and shutting off are controlled by magnetic force generated by a current applied to a solenoid coil is adopted as a clutch constituting the vehicle drive device and the clutch is made to miniaturization and light weight. Thereby, miniaturization and light weight of the vehicle drive device are realized, mountability on the vehicle is enhanced, the suspension system is simplified and enhancement of fuel consumption and reduction of cost are realized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
