PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous dispersion which can readily be formed into a film at a low temperature which is excellent in transparency and water resistance and is excellent in stability in mixing with the aqueous dispersion of other polymer, a metal ion, inorganic particles or an additive such as a crosslinking agent. SOLUTION: This aqueous dispersion of a polyolefin resin comprises a polyolefin resin which is a copolymer of an unsaturated carboxylic acid or its anhydride with an ethylenic hydrocarbon and a specific compound having a structure represented by either one formula of the formulas (I) to (IV) [wherein R1 is hydrogen or methyl group; R2 is <=10C alkyl group; R3 is hydrogen or <=10C alkyl group] and contains >=0.01 mass% and <5 mass% of the unsaturated carboxylic acid or its anhydride and has (55/45) to (99/1) ratio of the ethylenic hydrocarbon to the specific compound and has <=1μm number- average particle diameter and does not substantially contain a nonvolatile aqueous auxiliary. A method for producing the dispersion is also provided. |
