PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for attaching/detaching a long nozzle in a continuous caster with which the preheating and the attachment/detachment of the long nozzle can be performed in one series of working process, and even when a gap between a ladle and a tundish is small, the attachment/detachment of the long nozzle can easily be performed. SOLUTION: A preheating apparatus 6 for long nozzle 5 is arranged near the tundish 2, and the attaching/detaching apparatus 7 for long nozzle 5 is arranged between the preheating apparatus 6 and the tundish 2, and the inserting/removing of the long nozzle 5 from the preheating apparatus 6 and the attachment/detachment of the long nozzle 5 from the ladle 1 can be performed by using an arm 8 in the attaching/detaching apparatus 7. The attaching/detaching apparatus 7 is provided with: a tilting means for vertically tilting the arm 8; a swinging means for horizontally swinging the arm 8; and a rotating means for rotating the arm 8 around the axis thereof, and the shifting of the long nozzle 5 between the ladle 1 and the tundish 2, is performed by rotating the arm 8 supporting the long nozzle 5 by the rotating means and tilting the long nozzle 5 horizontally.
