PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a holding heavy feeling, to reduce adverse effects on rod actions without a risk of losing parts during fishing, and enable to pull a tip top rod out of a tip holding rod to facilitate maintenance. SOLUTION: An inter-line fishing rod comprises the tip top rod 18 joined to the tip holding rod 16 according to a telescopic manner and the tip top rod is shorter than the tip holding rod. A cylindrical top guide holding member H is fixed to the outside of the tip of the tip top rod body 18H made of a fiber-reinforced resin. A protruding part T protruding outward is provided on the outer periphery of the holding member and the length from a position at the front end of the protruding part to the tip of the holding member is that picked with a fingertip. The outside diameter D1 of the protruding part is larger than the minimum inside diameter D2 of the tip of the tip holding rod. The outside diameter of a region except the protruding part of the holding member is smaller than the minimum inside diameter of the tip of the tip holding rod. At least one of the two protruding part and the tip of the tip holding rod is elastically deformed.
