<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium applied to a ZCAV system. <P>SOLUTION: The optical information recording medium has a prescribed recording region, the recording region is divided into p pieces of zones each having a uniform width in a radial direction and the medium is rotated at a constant angular velocity without depending on a radial position to record information with a plurality of mark lengths. Grooves having a prescribed groove wobble signals are formed on the substrate, reference periods of the groove wobble signals are changed for every zone and when an average linear velocity, the maximum linear velocity, the minimum linear velocity and the reference period of the groove wobble signals in a q-th zone (wherein q denotes an integer of 1≤q≤p) are defined as <v<SB>q</SB>><SB>ave</SB>, <v<SB>q</SB>><SB>max</SB>, <v<SB>q</SB>><SB>min</SB>and Tw<SB>q</SB>, respectively, <v<SB>q</SB>><SB>ave</SB>Tw<SB>q</SB>is nearly constant to all the q of 1≤q≤p and (<v<SB>q</SB>><SB>max</SB>-<v<SB>q</SB>><SB>min</SB>)/(<v<SB>q</SB>><SB>max</SB>+<v<SB>q</SB>><SB>min</SB>)<1% is satisfied. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
