PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an address estimation device and an address estimation method preventing transmission of a mail to a wrong address during a transmission requesting step. SOLUTION: This address estimation device 1 estimating a transmission address of a newly created mail is provided with a characteristic quantity extraction means extracting characteristic quantity of a plurality of already transmitted mails and the newly created mail, a parameter computing means computing a predetermined parameter for each of the transmission addresses based on the characteristic quantity, and an estimation means estimating the transmission address of the newly created mail by using the predetermined parameter computed from the already transmitted mails and the characteristic quantity extracted from the newly created mail.
