PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for jacking up a permanent magnet type magnetic circuit located close to the floor safely using a common iron jack without being attracted by the magnetic circuit. SOLUTION: The opposite permanent magnet type magnetic circuit is provided for generating a magnetic field between magnetic pole pieces. The opposite permanent magnet type magnetic circuit comprises a pair of opposite permanent magnets spaced by a gap and magnetized in the thickness direction, the pair of magnetic pole pieces arranged on the opposite faces of the permanent magnets, a yoke arranged outside of the magnetic circuits and the gap, and nonmagnetic projections mounted on the yoke. A method is also provided for jacking up an opposite permanent magnet type magnetic circuit for generating a magnetic field between magnetic pole pieces. The method is characterized by that, when jacking up the magnetic circuit comprising a pair of opposing permanent magnets spaced by a gap and magnetized in the thickness direction, the pair of magnetic pole pieces arranged on the opposite faces of the permanent magnets and a yoke arranged on the outside of the magnetic circuits and the gap, attachable and detachable nonmagnetic projections are mounted on the yoke.
