<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal assembly capable of being repeatedly assembled and disassembled while securing sealability. <P>SOLUTION: This seal assembly has a first metallic body 2 having a first seal face, a second metallic body 1 having a second seal face, and a connecting means for disconnectably connecting the first and second metallic bodies by axially pressing them to each other. The first metallic body 2 has a round centering chamber 9 formed by a flat bottom part and a vertical wall on its cooperation faces 5, 10, and the bottom part forms the first seal face. The second metallic body 1 has annular collars 3, 8 raised from cooperation faces 64, 65, the collars respectively have an inner wall face, an outer wall face and a narrowed end part 21 having a flat end face forming the second seal face, the outer wall face of the collar has a centering face 24 kept into contact with vertical walls of the centering chambers 4, 9 of the first metallic body, and the connecting means connects the first metallic body 2 and the second metallic body 1 with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
