PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass roving packaging element and its packaging method having a formation which can perform the loading working of glass roving and the joining working of the starting end and the terminal end of a strand easily and quickly about the packaging element on which a plurality of the glass roving have been accumulated. SOLUTION: The glass roving packaging element of this invention is the packaging element 10 on which the glass roving 30 is accumulated, all connecting portions 32 of the strand terminal ends 33 of the glass roving 30 and the strand starting ends 31 of the following glass roving are outside the packaging element 10. Moreover, this has a process employed to accumulate a plurality of the glass roving 30 of this invention on a base 20 in an alignment condition by turning the strand terminal ends 33 of its glass roving 30 and the strand starting ends 31 of the following glass roving 30 toward the outside of the packaging element 10 and a process employed to connect the strand starting ends 31 and terminal ends 33 of the accumulated glass roving 30 temporarily.
