RANGE FINDING AND POSITION MEASUREMENT METHOD USING SPREAD SPECTRUM SIGNAL, AND DEVICE PERFORMING THIS METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure the reception timing of an arrival wave with a minimum propagation delay time of a spread spectrum signal, even under a multi-path environment.

SOLUTION: A first threshold value timing detector 103 utilizes a delay profile which is formed by a delay profile formation part 102, and a first threshold value 330 which is input from a first threshold value calculation part 105 and selects the fastest reception timing which exceeds the first threshold value among the timings in which a correlation value of the delay profile is maximized. A reference timing calculator 106 utilizes the reception timing and a second threshold value 331 which is input from a second threshold calculator 107, and calculates the reference timing required for calculating the reception timing of the arrival wave with the minimum delay time. A reception timing calculator 108 outputs the timing shifted by the timing which is preset from the reference timing as a reception timing 113 of the arrival wave with the minimum propagation delay time.
