PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a connection loss in connection of an optical connector. SOLUTION: This method processes the outer periphery of a cylindrical body by a wire centerless process with a wire inserted into a through-hole as a reference after polishing the through-hole of the cylindrical body; and uses the wire having an optimal outer diameter in respective class units by classifying the cylindrical body into a plurality of classes on the basis of a measured value by measuring an inner diameter after polishing the through-hole.
