PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the memory capacity of a storage section which stores correction values by reducing the number of the correction values which are used when a density correction for each line is performed. SOLUTION: This printing device has a processing mode wherein an ink is discharged from a plurality of nozzles which move in the moving direction, a line being constituted of a plurality of dots in the moving direction is formed of a combination of at least two nozzles, and the combination of the nozzles periodically varies at every m pieces of lines regarding the carrying direction. When an image is printed by the processing mode, the density of each line is corrected based on a correction value for the density. Then, under the processing mode, the position in the moving direction of dots which can be formed by the dot forming motion changes with an n times of the dot forming motions as one cycle, and correction values for m×n pieces of lines are stored as one set. When an image is printed by the processing mode, the density of each line is corrected by using each correction value for the one set in order. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
