The window or door frame (1) is guided towards an upper (11) and a lower processing unit (10), each fitted with several tools (5, 6, 7, 8, 9) and movable in three directions. The tools (5, 6, 7, 8, 9) are used for removing residues from the welding process and for other finishing operations at the outer, the inner corner, respectively. In order to facilitate the use of the unit for processing frames (1) of small dimensions identical tool pairs (5, 6, 7, 8, 9) are positioned at complementary areas of the carrying elements (10, 11).
