PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it can not be detected whether it is feces, urine or both for loose feces with much moisture by milk and baby food of infants in a detector for detecting evacution and urination by utilizing the fact that capacitance and a resistance value between electrodes are changed by the contact of the moisture of the feces and the urine between a pair of the electrodes. SOLUTION: The evacution detector for the infant is provided with a light emitting part for emitting light and a light receiving part for receiving the light from a second optical fiber through a gap between a first optical fiber for transmitting the light from the light emitting part and the tip of the second optical fiber for receiving the light from the tip of the first optical fiber. When the feces enter the gap between the first optical fiber and the second optical fiber, the light from the first optical fiber is interrupted, the light is not transmitted to the second optical fiber, the light emitted from the light emitting part can not be received in the light receiving part, and thus the evacution of the infant is detected. At the time of detecting the evacution, the presence of the evacution is displayed at a display part and the evacution by the infant is reported to a person taking care of the infant such as a parent.
