PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic transfer device capable of accurately unloading a cargo on an unmanned transport vehicle even when a stop position of the unmanned transport vehicle deviates. SOLUTION: When a detection means 9 detects that a fork 4 is in a position wherein the cargo 6 can be loaded in the process of advancing of the fork 4 in loading action, a control means 11 stops advancing of the fork 4 based on a detected signal, and an advancing distance of the fork 4 is stored by a ranging means 10. In the process of unloading action, the control means 11 stops advancing of the fork 4 and unloads the cargo when the advancing distance of the fork 4 stored coincides with the advancing distance of the fork 4 in the process of the loading action.
