PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable step-up type DC/DC converter which is small size, light weight, high efficiency and low cost. SOLUTION: The DC/DC converter controls on/off switches SW1-SW4, separately charges capacitors C1, C2 by a dc power source input unit, stores magnetic energy in an inductor L, charges the capacitors C1, C2 by the current from this inductor, and obtains the voltage stepped up by an output unit (step up). Further, the DC/DC converter controls the on/off the switches SW1-SW4 at a regeneration mode time and returns the regenerated power stored in the capacitors C1, C2 to the power source side. In this case, the magnetic energy is stored in the inductor L, and the regenerated power is returned (regenerated) by the current from this inductor to the power source side. Moreover, the switches SW1-SW4 are controlled on/off, and the voltage of the dc power source input unit is outputted, as it is, to the output unit (conduction). COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
