PRINTER, POS SYSTEM, PROGRAM, AND POINT GIVING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To implement a point giving service without adding any change in an existing POS terminal computer 60. SOLUTION: This system is provided with; a character string extracting means for extracting an amount-specifying character string to specify the target amount of money for which points are given from print data while printing on a receipt R based on the print data received from the POS terminal computer 60; an acquired points calculation means for calculating acquired points to be given based on the amount-specifying character string and a point conversion coefficient for converting the amount specified by the amount-specifying character string, into the points; an accumulated points reading means for reading accumulated points being accumulation of the points previously given, from a data carrier; and a current points writing means for writing current points to which the accumulated points and the acquired points are added, to the data carrier.
