An electrode for energy storage device comprising a polyaminoquinoxaline compound represented by the formula (1a) as an electrode active material. Thus, there can be provided an electrode for energy storage device that can realize enhancing of energy level density to thereby enable rendering the device compact and lightweight. (1a) (wherein each of R<1> and R<2> independently is hydrogen, hydroxyl, C1-C10 alkyl, C1-C10 alkoxy, etc.; each of R<3> and R<4> independently is hydrogen, halogen, cyano, nitro, amino, C1-C10 alkyl, C1-C10 alkoxy, etc.; X<1> is -NH-R<5>-NH- or -NH-R<6>- in which each of R<5> and R<6> independently is C1-C10 alkylene, -C(O)CH2- or -CH2C(O)-, etc.; and n is an integer of 2 or greater).
