PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device capable of immediately performing photographing while a blurring correcting system is operating when a mode is switched from a photographing mode to a reproduction mode and further to the photographing mode. SOLUTION: A control means 44 can operate in a first mode corresponding to the photographing mode and causing to control a blurring correcting system 68 and in a second mode corresponding to the reproduction mode. When the photographing mode is switched to the reproduction mode, the control means 44 operates in the first mode until a predetermined time elapses after switching, and after that, operates in the second mode.
