The invention concerns a method for controlling a motor vehicle torque transmitting clutch (34, 36) whose coupling state influences the distribution ratio of a torque between a first (24) and a second (26) wheel arrangement of the vehicle. The coupling state of the clutch (36) is controlled according to a deviation of an actual value of a yaw quantity, which is representative of the yaw behavior of the vehicle, from a set value of this yaw quantity. The yaw speed of the vehicle is preferably used as the yaw quantity. The set value of the yaw velocity is determined by a control unit (412) of the vehicle according to current values of the steering angle ( alpha ) of the vehicle and of the vehicle speed.
