TIME DIVISION MULTIPLEXING FRAME FOR MULTIPLEXING DIFFERENT SYNCHRONIZATION SIGNALS, AND TRANSMISSION AND RECEPTION METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a time division multiplexing frame which uses stuffing bits, capable of transmitting a plurality of items of digital broadcast data having synchronization of different clocks using a simple structure, and to provide a transmission and reception method thereof.

SOLUTION: The time division multiplexing frame multiplexes digital broadcast signals and communication signals in a broadcast communication merging system employing an FTTH system. The frame comprises a framing bit field 201 for distinguishing start from finish of time division multiplexing frames to be supplied endlessly; two MPTS fields 203, 204 each configured so as to have the number of bits of one or more, and assigned for transmission of digital broadcast signals for adjusting an input quantity of digital broadcast data, on the basis of the difference between a multiplexing speed of digital broadcast and an input speed; and a high-speed Ethernet (R) field 205 assigned for transmission of transmission data and having the number of bits of one or more.
