PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent such a failure as merchandise erection or merchandise jamming without requiring any complicate adjusting operation. SOLUTION: The merchandise storage rack 30 of an automatic vending machine 1 is configured by arranging a plurality of segments 33 between a pair of side boards 32 in order to demarcate a merchandise storage regions 31 extending along a vertical direction between those pair of side boards 32 and the segments 33, and to store merchandise loaded from an upper part inside the merchandise storage regions 31. This merchandise storage rack 30 is provided with: a swinging side board 60 arranged at a site adjacent to one side board 32 so as to be swingable to a direction close to and separate from the other side board 32 with the upper end part as a fulcrum; and a compression spring 61 for always energizing the swinging side board 60 to the other side board 32. The merchandise passing through the merchandise storage region 31 is abutted on the swinging side board 60 so that the merchandise can be lined up along the swinging side board 60.
