PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antiseismic reinforcing method for a viaduct capable of making earthquake resisting reinforcement so that it can remain in a utilizable state under the viaduct in the viaduct. SOLUTION: In the rigid frame viaduct 1 having a utilized space S such as a shop and an office or the like under the viaduct, a viaduct pole 12 located outside the utilized space S under the viaduct is furnished with an antiseismic reinforcement 16 without reinforcing the viaduct pole located in the utilized space S under the viaduct. Antiseismic performance of the rigid-frame viaduct 1 is thereby increased without furnishing the viaduct pole in the utilized space S under the viaduct with the antiseismic reinforcement. Accordingly, the rigid-frame viaduct 1 can be furnished with the antiseismic reinforcement in the state that space under the viaduct is being used. A vertical beam 14 in the direction of the bridge axis located on the upper side to the utilized space S under the viaduct can be furnished with a vertical beam reinforcement 17 when needed. The antiseismic performance of the rigid-frame viaduct 1 having the utilized space S under the viaduct is thereby further increased. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
