PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a functional film reduced in surface unevenness and high in surface uniformity, and to prepare the functional film reduced in surface unevenness, small in variation of optical performance and physical properties and high in surface uniformity. SOLUTION: The method comprises a process where a coating composition prepared by incorporating at least one kind of organic gelling agent and at least one kind of organic solvent into a film-forming organic medium is applied on a supporter.
